Welcome to Owls' class page!
Here you will find information regarding your children's learning and also important information such as when we have PE and our Learning Challenge topics for each half term, so please keep checking back to ensure you are fully up to date. As always, if you have any queries or concerns please feel free to come and speak to myself or Mrs Warnes at the end of the day.
This half-term (Autumn 1) we have PE on Wednesdays (sports coach) and Thursdays (Notts County Football Club sessions). This will be the same up until the October half-term break. After our half-term break, the children will have swimming on Tuesdays, Dance on Wednesdays and football with Notts County FC on Thursdays!
Please make sure that your child comes equipped for their PE session by ensuring that they have the appropriate kit in school as PE sessions can be held either indoors or outdoors. School guidance is either blue, black or grey shorts or jogging bottoms and a plain white t-shirt and trainers. They may also want to bring a jacket or hoody to wear outdoors, preferably plain with no logos.
Learning Challenge Topics
We plan our Science, History and Geography lessons around a central 'Learning Challenge' theme for each half term. This half-term, our Science Learning Challenge question is 'What makes materials magnificent?' and our History Learning Challenge question is 'Were the Romans really rotten?'
Science - What makes materials magnificent? (Changes of Materials)
History - Were the Romans really rotten?
Science - What makes materials magnificent? (Properties of Materials)
Geography - Would you rather live in North or South America?
