At Westglade, we love our writing. We complete a Big Write every Friday and look forward to it throughout the week; we also celebrate our writing on our writing walls. We do writing in lots of different ways - we often do lots of drama, which we find builds our confidence and helps us get used to talking in front of other people.
See pictures below of our writing walls and an Eyam museum, which Year Four created using ComicLife. There's also a documentary on Eyam that they used in the museum - they wrote their own scripts and then performed them. They combined this with a silent movie - that helps them to put expression into their writing and use show not tell, as without being able to talk, they have to find different ways of expressing themselves.
