Bats (Y6)

Hello Bats! Below is the Home Learning link for tasks I will be putting on the website regularly. Try your best with the work and try not to worry about it. I know you will be doing me proud and you can message me using the class blog on Purple Mash if you need anything.

I miss you all lots and I'm keeping all the plants alive, don't worry!

Welcome to Year 6 Bats!

On here you will find everything you need to know about the class including key dates, PE and homework information. I will also be sending out Marvellous Me updates regularly so please see Mr Radmall in the office if you need a code.

This half term we have PE on Thursday (Notts County) and Friday (gymnastics) so please ensure that your child has their PE kit. It is a good idea if they bring trainers if for any reason they may need to wear them.

Homework will be given out on Friday (English, Maths and spelling) and expected to be returned by the following Wednesday.

In addition to this, we are expecting the children to be reading at home at least 4 times per week. It does not always need to be to an adult but if you  could sign their diary it shows me you know they are reading too.

We are also focusing on the spelling expectations for each year group from the National Curriculum so we will be sending these home with children in small chunks for them to work on at home.

This is the autumn half term so please click on the blog page below to see what we have been getting up to.

IXL is a fantastic website subscription that school pay for especially for Year 6 children. It is designed to support them with Maths and Grammar topics and it a quick way for them to get in some additional learning. I am also able to see areas that the children each need support with so it is a great tool for me too! All children have a username and password and the competition for the number of questions they can answer has begun!
