Learning Challenge - WW2 Focus

I have loved seeing some of your WW2 projects and I know you were all really looking forward to this topic. I thought I would stick with the theme of you doing some research around an area of WW2 as that seems to be something you have enjoyed. Below is a link to a lesson focusing on 'What was life like in Nazi Germany'. Have a watch of the lesson and then perhaps do a little extra research to create a short fact file about life in Nazi Germany. What do you think it would have been like to be a child in Nazi Germany?

Friday 8th May

You may have heard that Friday is the anniversary of VE day. What does this mean? Well VE day is what Victory in Europe Day is known as and it marks the formal celebration of the Allies' acceptance of Germany's surrender ending World War 2. This year, we celebrate 75 years since the end of WW2 and lots of celebrations had been planned but have had to be postponed due to lock down restrictions. I thought it would be a great idea if you created your own art work to celebrate VE day. It could be flags, posters or perhaps a string of bunting. You could research some WW2 style recipes to recreate a VE day street party menu to have whilst staying safe at home.

Below is a link to the Imperial War Museum which includes images of VE day celebrations in the past.

You are really good at sharing your work with me so send things on Twitter/Purple Mash.
