Monday 4th May

This week we are focusing on comparing numbers. To start with we are thinking about which amount is more - this means the bigger amount. I have drawn some pictures for each question to help you see what each amount looks like.

Maybe your grown up can use objects in your house to come up with more questions for you.

Tuesday 5th May

Can you remember what 'more' means? Bigger, greater!

I am going to give you pairs of numbers - can you write down which one is bigger?

You could draw a picture of each amount, or use objects to help you work it out.

  •    5    7

  •    8    6

  •    4    5

  •    10   1

  •    9    6

  •    3    2

When you have done that, I have a challenge for you...

Can you put the numbers back on the caterpillar from smallest to largest?

Click 'Ordering' and then 1 to 10 or 1 to 20

Wednesday 6th May

Can you work out which amount is less? Remember less means the smaller amount this time!

Maybe your grown up could use objects to come up with more questions for you?

Thursday 7th May

Challenge: Can you put the ladybirds in order from most spots to least? It is tricky so maybe start with 1 - 5!

Click the link > Ordering > largest to smallest and choose the numbers you are confident with
