We have done lots of work this year about the environment and how humans have impacted on the state of our planet. We looked at the devastation caused by forest fires in Australia (Kangaroo Island in particular) and the increase in plastic in the ocean and how that has caused many issues for marine life. The lesson below recaps some the topics we have discussed in class as well as considering how humans have changed over time and what the impact of those changes in on plants and animals.
WALT: explore the impact that humans have had on plants an animals
In this lesson, we will look at how humans have changed over time and use the theory of evolution to explain these changes. Learning how to make and use tools, shelter, fire and language has enabled humans to spread all over the world. We will start to look at the impact that humans have had on some species of plants and animals. You will need a piece of paper and a pencil for this lesson.
