Learning Challenge

Spring 1 - Dare you explore the Amazon Rainforest...?

Would you go into the depths of the Amazon Rainforest? How would you survive if you did? What would you see? What would you hear? What would you smell?

This half term Wolves are venturing into the Amazon rainforest, exploring the creatures and plants inside. So pack you back because we're going on an adventure!

How can you use nature to inspire art?

Using the work of Andy Goldsworthy, the Wolves looked at how we can use nature to create art.

The beating drums of 'Jungle Jo' entered the Wolves' den!

You've got to be brave if you are going to enter the Amazon rainforest... there are some interesting creatures inside! Wolves proved their bravery as they handled some creatures that may be lurking in the layers!

Spring 2 - Can a Wolf survive eating chocolate?

This half term we are going to be taking over Willy Wonka's chocolate factory and see if we can design a chocolate bar fit for a Wolf! This Learning Challenge is going to help us develop our Design and Technology skills.

What packaging would attract a Wolf to want to buy the chocolate?

Which flavours would be best? How could we find out?

Which material would be best to make the packaging out of? Why?

How can we create an advert to sell our chocolate to a Wolf?

We are working on adding and subtracting money. We are particularly trying to use efficient methods - bridging through a pound!
