Week 5
Friday 8th May - VE Day
Happy VE Day Bees. Hope you enjoy celebrating the day with your family. Here is a clip of a teacher from another school singing a song you will know.
Thursday 7th May
Hello Bees! We have an update on the caterpillars! All 5 have now gone to the top of the tub and have attached themselves on the lid. They are now hanging down and have started to pupate (going into the chrysalis stage). We cannot move them for the next few days until they have all hardened and fully into the chrysalis stage. The next update will be us moving them into the net.
Some of the Bees have been growing plants, fruit and vegetables from seed. I wonder if you can measure some flowers/plants or bushes in your garden or on a walk as part of your daily exercise? You could measure it any way you want. You might have a tape measure in your house, or you might measure them using a teddy or small toy or even cars...I wonder how many cars high a plant is?

Wednesday 6th May
Hello everyone! Today you have an extra video about VE day which is a special day that will be celebrated on Friday. I have also added a '2do' on Purple Mash, which is to colour in the Union flag. I am also adding a blank union flag that you can print (if you can) and colour in. If you don't have a printer, maybe an adult can draw it out for you to colour, paint or collage. Then on Friday, you can make it into a flag and wave it around or put it up in your window to show your support of what happened on VE day 75 years ago! A little treat for you too...Miss Blake is reading you a story that lots of you enjoy listening to...The Gruffalo!

Tuesday 5th May
Hello everyone! Today some food based learning - my favourite! In maths we will be looking at parts that make a whole. This is new parents since you were at school. You will get the hang of it I am sure! At the end of the video it talks about completing a jigsaw puzzle...this fits the part-whole method as the pieces of jigsaw are the 'parts' that make the completed jigsaw 'whole'. See if you can complete a jigsaw today. It might be the one given to you in your creative packs when we left school. Have a lovely day!
Monday 4th May
Hello Bees and welcome back to the e-learning site! I hope that you all had a very lovely weekend, the sun was out some of the time and I managed to get out in my garden and go for a walk. Have you managed to look at the photos of what your friends have been doing whilst we have been away from school?
I have added a video of some singing to start our week of learning off!
