I found this great interactive PowerPoint on the TES where children can correct sentences that contain errors. It does get trickier as you move throughout the activities but the children should be able to identify the errors up to about Activity 10!
Today, we are going to be looking at finding a half! Remember - when we halve a number, we make it into two equal groups. To halve a number, we divide it by two! Try using you toys e.g. your Lego or small characters or you could use Play Dough to make small balls. Count out an even amount and then share between two plates or two hoops to find a half of different numbers!
Below you can find the link to the Crickweb website which allows you to access lots of educational resources and games. Hey Squirrels - I hope you are all feeling well on this beautiful sunny day! The sun is shining through my living room window and I am enjoying watching all of the plants and flowers beginning to bloom. I have set you quite a few tasks to do over the last few days and I am hoping you are enjoying them so far!
This morning, I have been setting up a class blog page which we can use to keep in touch with each other! I will also set you some tasks to do on Purple Mash. Look out for your tasks in the 'To Do' section. You can also use this as a place to keep in touch with each other and talk to your friends and me. Even though we can't be together as a class, we can definitely still stay in touch and I know we will always be thinking about one another!
Stay safe, enjoy your home learning tasks and remember - always be kind!
Miss you all,
Miss Taylor :)
Detectives! There is something wrong with these number problems. Your challenge is to investigate the problem. When you solve the mystery, write down what was wrong and write the correct column addition problem next to it.
Design your own Bog Baby!
Last week we shared a book together called 'The Bog Baby' by Jeanne Willis. You can find the book online here @ https://vimeo.com/92529402
I would love today if you could design and draw your own Bog Baby! Your creature should be made up but you may want to use features of real animals mixed together! When you have finished, give your Bog Baby a name e.g. River Rodent or Pond Paddler and tweet the finished picture to me at @nikkitay3
I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
