Daily learning activities

  • Complete the daily activities by clicking on the stars above including science
  • Read and record in your diaries: either school book, own book or online                            e.g.
  • Practise individual spellings: Y1/2, Y3/4 and Y5/6. Choose different 5 words each day and put them into sentences. 
  • Times tables rockstars
  • Log on to Purple Mash
  • CGP Comprehension: one text and set of questions every other day (at least two texts a week)
  • CGP Maths: at least two pages a day starting at the beginning. Could you challenge yourself by writing your own questions in the same style?
  • CGP Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: at least two pages a day starting at the beginning.
Can't remember what a adverb is or what inverse means? Don't worry and take a look at these two document. They will help you with definitions of the vocabulary used in English and Math. There are also some other resources we use in class to help us too! 

We have added some activities for you to have a go at on Purple Mash. There are some Science and Geography activities linked to learning we have been doing this year including sound, vertebrates and invertebrates and physical geography. We have also added the coding programme to the 2do's so that you can have a go at doing some coding when you are at home.

Other activity ideas

Baking recipe - rice pops cakes:

150g milk chocolate broken up,

100g butter,

4tbsp golden sugar,

100g rice pops,

Mini marshmallows,


Melt down the chocolate, butter and syrup over pan of simmering water. Add rice pops and mix. Put into 12 fairy cake cases. Add marshmallows and sprinkles to decorate. Leave to set. Enjoy! 


Play hide and seek with family 


Soap making - melt down clear bars of soap and use moulds to create own. Can add all sorts to them such as glitter, flowers, gummy bears etc. 


Cosmic Yoga kids YouTube - loads of different stories. Really good. Just type into YouTube and choose one.

Also Just Dance is fun. Can do that through YouTube too if haven't got Nintendo wii.


Mentos rockets! Need bottle of coke, mentos and camera! Put mento into bottle, quickly put lid back on, stand back and watch rocket blast off!


Making monsters, characters, vehicles etc out of empty boxes. Could be small boxes such as tissue boxes to large parcel boxes. Paint, color, cut etc. 


Treasure hunt! Hide items around house and garden. Give set of instructions such as:

Crawl across sofa, slide like snail under bed, run to tree, dig hole etc to find treasure. 


Board games. Some good ones include: 

Junior cluedo, Headbanz, Jenga, Articulate for kids, Colour Brain, Exploding Kittens, Twister, Guess Who, Snakes and Ladders, Charades, Operation, Frstustration. Loads more too! 


Make own ice lollies - need a mould. Can add anything! Jelly babies, gummy bears, sprinkles etc. Use any liquid you like. 


Ice balloons superhero rescue! Put water and a toy superhero/any character small enough to fit into balloon with water into it. Enough to make a small sphere shape. Tie and let freeze. Take off the balloon once frozen and try find best way to rescue your character from ice! 


Puzzles - good way to keep entertained for while
