On this page, you will find some useful resources to support your child with their English work while we are closed. You will be able to find year group specific content on your child's class page but hopefully you find some additional things for them to work on at home. 

Grammar

The CGP books will allow your child to work through the grammar objectives for their year group but I have also included some places online where you can find more resources/games.

Writing Resources

At Westglade, we know our children love writing and Big Write on Friday's is a key feature for all of them. To help your child maintain their love of writing, I have included links to the Literacy Shed. This site provides video clips and activity packs free of charge for the children to access at home. The packs give parents ideas of things their child could write about. If you have children in different key stages, your older child/children can always respond to the KS1 video or they could write a collaborative piece.

Reading Resources

As always, we are encouraging our children to read whatever they and get their hands on! It would be lovely to see all family members reading something together during this time. I have included links below to some to reading packs for different age groups. They are still working on the KS1 packs so I will upload the links to these as soon as they are ready.
