Children's physical and mental wellbeing is very important to us. The government provides additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. Funding for schools is calculated by reference to the number of primary-aged pupils (between the ages of 5 and 11), as recorded in the annual schools census. Miss Gell is the PE Lead at our school.

We place great importance on our pupils being taught water safety and how to swim. It is expected that, by the end of primary, children swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres.
